"Tawakkul is having complete trust that Allah’s plan is the best plan. Tawakkul is having full faith that Allah will take care of you—even when things look impossible. Tawakkul is standing in front of the Red Sea—as Prophet Musa did—with an army behind you, and not even flinching, knowing that Allah will get you through. It is having full faith that when Allah takes away the umbilical cord, He will replace it with milk. - Yasmin Mogahed"

step 305: practice having tawakkul. my ultimate go-to example when explaining this concept is the story of Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him). it brings me ultimate peace. everything that I’m going through feels like nothing in comparison. getting frustrated with grad school apps? grades? internships? family ish? have tawakkul. there’s actually a lot of examples of this in the lives of the Prophets (more on that later - I need to make more of an active effort to attain this knowledge). remember that everything happening to you is ultimately for your best and tell yourself that it’s exactly what you want. that will make it really light to carry on those shoulders.
